He spends millions of euros a day on Bitcoin, has made 1.5 billion in profits in a year and nobody knows his identity or his intentions

Cryptocurrency experts fear that the mysterious user will sell all their units at once, causing widespread chaos

For more than a decade, countless users have tried their luck by investing in cryptocurrencies. Options such as Bitcoin or Ethereum have attracted the interest of users and companies with millions of euros who, in short, are looking for opportunities offered by these decentralized currencies.

For this reason, it is common to come across stories of people who obtain millions of euros overnight as a result of a stroke of luck or, on the contrary, say goodbye to their life savings.

However, not everything is as simple as it seems. The debacle of FTX and the recent controversy of Binance caused a drop in the value of cryptocurrencies. As a result, many users decided to sell their assets to avoid substantial losses, a situation that further increased the crisis these currencies were going through. But, since November 2022, a mysterious individual has decided to make a risky bet that has earned him multimillion-dollar profits: spending millions of euros every day buying Bitcoin.

A very dangerous “whale” for the rest of the community

As the JeuxVideo portal states in a recent publication, this individual has been investing millions of euros a day in Bitcoin for more than a year. Thanks to these maneuvers, he currently owns 39,260 Bitcoin, a figure equivalent to 1.5 billion euros, making him one of the 16 largest Bitcoin portfolios in the world. In fact, the more than 39,000 BTC he owns is equivalent to 0.20% of the total Bitcoin fund. And, as his latest movements show, he has no intention of ceasing his attempt, as he recently acquired 421 Bitcoin worth 16 million euros.

However, although many are intrigued by the identity of the mysterious individual, there is widespread fear within the community. As it is not known whether or not it is a financial institution, a similar case to that of the user who obtained 450 million euros in Bitcoin in 3 weeks, it is possible that we are dealing with an individual user. Therefore, if he decides to get rid of his Bitcoins suddenly, the value of the currency will plummet. But, in view of his track record, this does not seem to be a situation that is going to occur.
