The magnate has a mansion in San Cassiano, in the Italian Alps, which has “two basements and three floors”.

Elon Musk has become one of the faces of current affairs following his support for Donald Trump in the US presidential election. A man who also has unparalleled wealth, being one of the richest businessmen in the world.

This is precisely what has allowed the head of Tesla to indulge his whims all over the world. In Europe, the South African has wanted to design an ultra-modern house, specifically in the Italian Dolomites, with 4,000 square meters of land.

Musk wants a new mansion in a dream location, in a much-appreciated part of the European mountain range. He wants a large villa in the resort of San Cassiano, a well-known locality in the Italian Alps, and has already contacted the architect Alessandro Costanza, who spoke about the project in an interview for the Italian magazine ‘Corriere del Trentino’: “I dreamt about it at night, it is a tortoise shell with unstructured floors, two basements and three floors”.

He also gave details of what the interior of this luxury mansion would be like: “15 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a large living room, a wine cellar and an underground spa will be spread over an area of 800 square meters. The most daring details? The cryogenic chamber at -100 degrees, the underground dressing room, hidden in the floor, and the 30-meter suspended glass pool”.

The project came about after the magnate fell in love with the place after spending his vacation there in November 2022, leading him to buy the 4,000-square-meter property with 800 square meters dedicated exclusively to the villa. “Everyone wonders what the house of a space traveler with an infinite mind like Elon Musk would be like,” added the architect.

Costanza also refers to the innovative materials used in the house: “The house is made entirely of metal, with wooden crossbars, solid masonry buttresses and a glass spur. The materials are traditional, but there will be a reinforced concrete frame because the structure has very daring directions: it is a house that has to rewrite the codes of alpinearchitecture”.
