Recently, New Jersey residents have been observing strange night flights that have caused anxiety among both residents and local governments. Mysterious Drones, comparable in size to an SUV, have been spotted above strategic locations such as the military research center of the Picatinny Arsenal and the golf course of future President Donald Trump in Bedminster.
Authorities, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), have responded to these events by imposing temporary flight restrictions. Nevertheless, many questions about the origin and purpose of these objects remain unanswered.
U.S. Senator Andy Kim shared a video on social media showing several drones near the Round Valley reservoir. “How, with technology like this, are we still not able to determine their origin?”, the senator asks.
Some politicians, such as Congressman Jeff Van Drew, have even theorized about “Iran’s mothership”that potentially launches these drones. However, the Pentagon categorically rejected this theory. ‘There is no evidence that the Iranian ship operated off US shores’, Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said.
Mysterious drones have been spotted not only in New Jersey but also in neighboring states, including the New York area and Pennsylvania. Locals, like James Edwards of Succasunna, say these flights are not only a source of interest, but also a concern.
“People need facts, not speculation”, he notes.
Investigations are ongoing, but authorities do not yet have a clear answer as to what is behind these night flights. Is it a technological mistake or a more serious signal that we need to strengthen the defence of our airspace?
