Blake Scholl, CEO of Boom Supersonic, shared details in a publication about another innovation in the Overture supersonic aircraft project, considered the successor to the legendary Concorde.
The statement highlights what could be a transformation for the commercial aircraft of the future, signaling a new era in the integration of aviation and digital technology, as reported by our partner Aeroin.
Scholl made the announcement by sharing a Tesla demonstration video, in which Elon Musk’s company exemplifies the intelligent automatic seat adjustment system. The video shows how the front seats of the Model Y automatically adjust to optimize interior space when needed.
He used this demonstration to draw a significant parallel with his future in commercial aviation, illustrating how automated and integrated systems can revolutionize the flying experience.
In his post he stated: “Overture will be the first aircraft with a software architecture similar to that of Tesla”. The highlight of the technological innovation is the implementation of a system with its own software, which has the advantage of being easily updatable, instead of depending on updates from the system manufacturer.
Adopting an integrated software architecture similar to that used by Tesla could represent a paradigm shift in aviation. With this fusion of supersonic aviation and cutting-edge technology, Boom Supersonic aims to set new standards for the future of commercial air transportation.
