Did you burn a pot? It is a common problem in Polish households, faced by both less and more experienced cooks. So don’t torture yourself and buy new dishes, just try to clean the dirty pot the homemade way. Thanks to one product, after three minutes it will look like new again.
Even the best chefs sometimes burn a pot. This is nothing to be ashamed of, especially since unpleasant odors and difficult to remove stains can be quickly removed.
Don’t waste time scrubbing with a scouring pad, as this can only scratch the pot even more. Instead, reach into the cupboard under the sink and use the power of a common product that you will find there.
The dishwasher tablet is the best home remedy for a burnt pot. You can use it whenever leftovers from an overlooked sauce or milk stain your favorite dish. It even works on badly neglected accessories because the capsule contains powerful cleaning agents that dissolve grease.
How do you clean a burnt pot with a dishwasher tablet? It’s easy. All you have to do is fill the pot with water until the burnt food is completely covered, put one capsule inside (or pour in the powdered capsule) and turn on the hot water.
After 3-4 minutes, the water will start to boil, but you can wait up to 5-6 minutes for an even better effect. Then simply pour out the dirty water from the pot and wash the pot with lukewarm water and a soft sponge, inside and out. The dirt should come off effortlessly.
Not just the capsule. Here are other home remedies for burnt pots
The capsule is not the only effective home remedy for burnt pots. If you don’t use dishwasher tablets, you can also use other methods to clean dirty dishes.
One of them is using table salt. Pour it into the bottom of the pot (so that it covers the entire bottom) and pour boiling water over it. After a few hours, the dirt should be easily removed with a sponge.
To clean a burnt pot, you can also use baking soda and vinegar. First, pour the baking soda into the dirty pot, then pour in the vinegar. As soon as the mixture starts to fizz, leave it for 15 minutes. Then wash the pot thoroughly with water.
